Marie Denis’ works are introspective explorations in which experience and empiricism become her guiding threads. Through unexpected materials, such as carbon paper or fax-herbarium, she reimagines the notions of trace and drawing.
On the occasion of Bleu végétal, her new solo exhibition in the Parisian gallery, the artist will present a new series of works made from carbon paper. Folded and shaped, the material transforms into a shirt, giving rise to an anthropomorphic herbarium that evokes both a bodily envelope and a sensitive, emotional dimension.
